you

want to get it right β€” this time, or the first time.

My approach

I don't polish applications. I excavate them.

Most consultants start with your resume and work forward. I start with you β€” the details you've never thought to mention, the moments you've forgotten, the version of yourself that doesn't fit neatly on a CV. That's where the real essays live.

The result isn't a collection of well-written answers. It's a unified profile β€” every essay reinforcing the same person, the same story, the same case for why you belong in that room.

I'm also not here to serve the manor born. My proudest admits are the ones nobody saw coming β€” the candidates who outperformed their numbers because the application finally did justice to who they actually are.

01
Excavation, not polish.

The details that make your essays undeniable are already there. They're just buried. My job is to find them, surface them, and build the application around them.

02
One profile, not six essays.

Every essay should reinforce the others. By the time an adcom finishes reading, they should feel they know exactly who you are β€” and exactly why you belong.

03
Outperform your scores.

Credentials open doors. Stories walk through them. My best work happens when a great application gets someone into a room their numbers alone never would have.

Ding analyses

I see in you what others don't,
good and bad.

Anonymized excerpts from real analyses. This is what it looks like when someone actually tells you what's wrong β€” and what's right.

DingBad spotted

"According to your resume, you've done amazing things. However, I didn't see anywhere in your essays HOW you achieved those things… it leads to essays that are not memorable because they don't highlight your most important leadership qualities."

Multi-school ding analysis

DingBad spotted

"From your email: 'it showed how intellectually elite members can work efficiently if they are willing.' β€” this could have come across as arrogant to the interviewer."

Multi-school ding analysis

WaitlistBad spotted

"You are currently a senior product manager and your goal is to become a senior product manager. That's not bad by itself. What is bad is that you didn't explain why… more importantly what will be different about your future role that necessitates the MBA."

Waitlist analysis β€” Duke / HEC / Cornell

Pre-submissionBad spotted

"'Building executive presence' is not a goal. You're essentially saying that in 3-5 years you'll be trying to advance your career. That's understood."

Pre-submission analysis β€” Wharton / HBS / GSB

Pre-submissionGood & bad

"Self-awareness is one of the keys to the kingdom in MBA admissions… is it a mindless need for achievement, like a shark that has to keep swimming to live, or is there some conscious motivation guided by clear principles?"

Pre-submission analysis β€” GSB

WaitlistGood spotted

"They are some of the strongest drafts I've seen among the WL/ding analyses I've done recently: clear, strong, and on point. You might have used AI, but they don't read like it."

Waitlist analysis β€” multi-school
